Regional Recognized Renal Dietitian Award – Region 4

Carol Lim RD, LD graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and has 20 years’ experience as a Registered Dietitian. After starting out in the acute care setting, initially as a dietitian and later as a clinical manager, she moved to the renal dietetic field where she has practiced for the previous decade.

In addition to helping her patients, Carol has served for several years as an integral part of the greater renal nutrition community. She was the former Treasurer and is the current Chair of the Council on Renal Nutrition Southeast Texas chapter. Carol has chaired multiple corporate and group fundraisers as a Board Member of the American Kidney Fund ‘Steps that Count’ initiative. She is the dietetic representative on the Medical Review Board for ESRD Network 14 and serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the NKF CRN where she is the current Region 4 Representative and Membership Chair. Carol has also contributed to the field of dietetics as a preceptor for dietetic interns and served as a member of the Houston Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Executive Committee.
