Caitlin graduated from Boston University in 2010 with degrees in Ancient Greek and Latin and History. After four years teaching high school, she transitioned to medicine, first working as a medical assistant in a multispecialty hospital-affiliated practice before earning her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from Springfield College in 2019.
She began her PA career at Hartford Hospital in the Cardiothoracic Surgical ICU and subsequently practiced in the Medical ICU and Transplant Surgical Service. These experiences provided a foundation in critical care, complex physiology, and the management of complicated patients. In July 2022, she joined Starling Physicians as an inpatient nephrology PA. She currently serves as the Inpatient Nephrology Clinical Lead APP, where she contributes to clinical care, APP education, onboarding, and development.
Caitlin earned the NCCPA Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Nephrology, reflecting her commitment to clinical expertise and lifelong learning. She regularly lectures on nephrology topics for the Hartford Hospital community and contributes to educating future physician assistants as an adjunct professor for both Springfield College and Bay Path University. Her clinical interests include acute kidney injury, dysnatremias and the care of critically ill patients with kidney disease.
