Wendy Caesar Gibbs, RD,LDN, CCTD  is a highly respected renal dietitian, advocate, and healthcare professional with more than three decades of experience in clinical nutrition. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she graduated from Bishop Ford High School before attending Howard University in Washington, D.C., where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Nutrition in 1991. She became a Registered Dietitian later that year, passing the credentialing examination on her first attempt, and has maintained her professional credentials ever since.


Wendy began her career at a Maryland trauma hospital, providing nutrition care across medical-surgical units, the neonatal intensive care unit, and acute care dialysis. Her work with dialysis patients sparked a lifelong passion for renal nutrition. She later joined DaVita, Inc. as a Renal Dietitian before accepting a position in 2010 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. As the sole Renal Dietitian in the Nephrology and Renal Transplant Department, she supports the only transplant program in military medicine.


Wendy is a member of The NKF Medical Advisory Board and an active advocate for kidney disease prevention, management, and health equity. Through her service on the medical advisory boards and volunteer efforts with the National Kidney Foundation, she has contributed to education, awareness, and community outreach initiatives. Wendy has been married for 28 years, has two college-educated adult children, and is an enthusiastic supporter of the Baltimore Ravens and New York Knicks.
