Aisha Franklin-Onyeugwo, LLMSW, CHT

Wayne County Dialysis Center (American Renal Associates)

Aisha M. Franklin-Onyeugwo leads her life following her passions. First, she pursued knowledge and insight in the healthcare profession. She began her journey by graduating from Cass Technical High School, with a Chemical/Biology Degree. She then attended several colleges to pursue a nursing degree but finally realized that was not a passion. So, she decided to pursue another one of her passions, Psychology. During that educational path, she obtained the following degrees: Associate of Science (Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC)), Associates of Psychology (TMCC), Bachelor of Psychology (Biology Minor) and Master of Social Work (University of NV-Reno). Throughout her life long educational path, she traveled from Detroit, MI, to Reno, NV, and Detroit, MI, while maintaining a Certified Hemodialysis Technician occupation. Now, she is married to Onyekachi J. Onyeugwo and is working on building a family. She is currently employed as a Limited Licensed Social Worker to Wayne County Dialysis Center (American Renal Associates). With her newfound passion, she starts experiencing her Social Worker path. She attended the Michigan National Kidney Walk at the Detroit Zoo. She collaborates with the Michigan Rehabilitation Center to assist dialysis patients in obtaining jobs. On her leisure time, she enjoys reading, writing poetry, watching movies and spending time with her family (husband, parents, and siblings). Even with an active life, she has not stopped pursuing her passions. Now, she will contribute her knowledge and energy to the growth of her community.
