The National Kidney Foundation was proud to launch a NEW professional council—the Council of Professional Living Donor Advocates (CPLDA).
The CPLDA is the NKF’s 5th professional council. An Executive Committee for the CPLDA has been formed, which will be responsible for:
- Advising the transplant community regarding the tools Living Donor Advocates need to do their jobs well
- Assisting the National Kidney Foundation in making public policy recommendations to support living donor needs
- Helping to design and implement programs
- Developing "best practices" for the profession
- Developing a mission statement and goals for the CPLDA
- Working in collaboration with the NKF’s Living Donor Council Executive Committee to accomplish mutual goals
