Member NKF Kidney Advocacy Committee
On dialysis for nearly 20 years, Erich Ditschman was an advocate, mentor, and voice for patients, passionate about home dialysis. A member of NKF’s Kidney Advocacy Committee, Erich participated in the annual Kidney Patient Summit, advocating with patients and families on Capitol Hill. He co-chaired NKF’s KDOQI Home Dialysis Controversies Conference to make home dialysis more accessible. An environmental scientist, Erich paddled Michigan’s longest river to raise awareness and funds for kidney research and education. His leadership continues to inspire all of us.
