Chief Kidney Officer (CKO)
Kenny T. Kidney currently serves as Chief Kidney Officer at the National Kidney Foundation and has a lifetime of experience in kidney health since he is, himself, a kidney. Whether he’s meeting patients, jumping into community events, or getting distracted by something shiny (which happens a lot), he approaches everything with wide-eyed and contagious enthusiasm. He grew up watching his cousin Sidney the Kidney advocate for the National Kidney Foundation and is ready to give NKF his own unique, modern twist.
But being fun doesn’t mean he’s not serious about kidney health. Kenny is eager to teach people of all ages how to take care of their kidneys. He loves breaking down big ideas into simple, kid-friendly tips. And when he nails a teachable moment, you can bet he’ll celebrate by breaking out into dance! A little sassy, a little cheeky, and always full of heart, Kenny isn’t afraid to make people laugh if it helps them learn something important.
With a sense of humor, a passion for health education, and a goofiness that makes him stand out from his cousin, Kenny the Kidney is here to spark conversation, spread positivity, and continue NKF’s mission—one hug, dance, and high five at a time.

Kenny is widely recognized for his groundbreaking work in promoting daily hydration, teaching humans what kidneys actually do, and politely reminding people to get their kidney health tested. Kenny made history in 2026 as being the first anthropomorphic kidney to join the National Kidney Foundation family.
