I can smell ammonia and it feels like it is coming from the back of my nose. I have CKD and wondering if this was a symptom and if so should I see my consultant?

Having an ammonia odor on your breath is very common in patients with more advanced (usually Stage 4 or 5) chronic kidney disease(CKD). You should consult your physician, but I would not consider it an urgent symptom to address.
