My recent lab results shows BUN/CREATININE RATIO of 25.9, the range is 6-22. I'm a 63 year old female. I'm in good health, keep very active exercise alot. My previous test results were always in the 17 to 18 range. Should I be concerned?

The BUN to creatinine ratio is a calculated ratio that does not mean anything in regards to kidney disease. You should not be concerned. We occasionally use this ratio to estimate the degree of hydration of a patient.
The National Kidney Foundation is the leading organization in the U.S. dedicated to the awareness, prevention and treatment of kidney disease for hundreds of thousands of healthcare professionals, millions of patients and their families, and tens of millions of Americans at risk.
