Mental Health, Wellness, and CKD
A Virtual Patient Education Presentation
Wednesday, February 22, 2023 - 4:00pm to 5:00pm
About This Event
“Depression is the most common psychological disorder in end-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients, with a prevalence rate as high as 20% to 25% by some contemporary estimates. Unfortunately, there is limited data regarding the treatment of depression in ESRD patients.” (Advances in Chronic Kidney Disease, Vol 14, issue 4, Oct 2007).
We invite you to join us for an open and thoughtful conversation about the:
- Incidence and prevalence of anxiety and depression among the ESRD population, which is high and disproportionally affects BIPOC populations
- Importance of knowing/monitoring the signs in both Patients and Caregivers, and
- No shame in seeking help!
