Kidney Recipient, Advocacy & Public Policy Chair
At 9, Mary Baliker was diagnosed with kidney disease. At 17, she received her first transplant. 30+ years later, her service and career have included innumerable international, national, and state patient-centered initiatives. Mary is NKF’s Kidney Advocacy and Public Policy Committee Chair, a PEERs Mentor, and on workgroups for Patient Network Data Use and Publication, Transplant Advisory, and NKF Spring Clinical Meetings 2025 Patient Advisory Committees. In Wisconsin, she is an outspoken kidney advocate, on the NKFW Health Advisory Committee, and a past Board member.
