Genetic Testing and Kidney Disease Clinical Support Tool

Advances in genomics have vastly increased our understanding of the molecular mechanisms of human diseases, including kidney diseases. Recognizing these advances the National Kidney Foundation developed a clinical support tool that includes decision-making algorithms for genetic testing in people with, or at risk for, kidney disease. The clinical tool also aims to help healthcare professionals understand the role of genetic testing in the diagnosis and screening of genetic kidney diseases.
