Darrius M. Jones is the Senior Vice President and Chief Digital and Design Officer at the United Services Automobile Association (USAA). He leads a cross-functional team of Digital Product Managers and Design Experts in support of USAA’s mission to empower their members to achieve financial security through highly competitive products, exceptional service, and trusted advice.
Prior to joining USAA, Darrius held senior leadership roles at the following companies: Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer for Plantronics/Polycom, Head of Digital Channels and Experiences at Schwab as well as Head of Strategy for Collaboration at Cisco Systems.
A Montclair, New Jersey native, Darrius had the fortunate privilege of living, working, and traveling to Tokyo, Hong Kong, London, and the Philippines throughout his 25-year career in technology and financial services. He brings his frequent global travels and diverse experiences as a presenter, panelist, and marketing and servant leader to every role and opportunity presented to him. He attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey and now resides in San Antonio, Texas. He is the proud parent of two teenage children – his daughter, Kendall, a high school senior, and his son, Keegan, a sophomore.
Darrius was diagnosed three years ago with Diabetes. The first shocking thing he learned about the disease was that one in three diabetics will experience kidney disease. He immediately noticed the plethora of resources for diabetes but felt very underwhelmed by the lack of resources for kidney disease. Darrius also has family members who have experienced both diabetes and kidney disease, so joining the National Kidney Foundation was a cause he had to get behind.
