My most recent labs indicated that my eGFR is 43 and my blood creatinine is 1.27 on a scale that says over .98 is high. Is this something to be concerned about? The eGFR has been going up and down for several years. This is the first the creatinine has been up. It is creeping higher the prior result was .99. I have an appointment with a nephrologist but not for 2 months.

I am not able to make a diagnosis based on the information presented. In order to qualify as chronic kidney disease (CKD), your blood test must be abnormal for at least 3 months. I recommend that you wait to see your nephrologist in 2 months. Time will tell if you have CKD.
