"Rest Easy, Big Red."

Kyle from Charleston, South Carolina decided to donate a car to the National Kidney Foundation. He donated "Big Red," his beloved 1993 Chevy Silverado after learning that she needed extensive repairs.

"I'm hoping my car donation makes an impact in someone's life," said Kyle. The National Kidney Foundation was the only option Kyle considered. He thought the NKF would be fitting for Big Red's retirement. "Rest Easy, Big Red."

Charity car donation was a hard decision. "Big Red," had carried him through five years of college plus three years of jobs and moves. "I'd taken my first girlfriend out on dates in that truck, bought my first set of my own tires with that truck. Big Red had seen me through about 100,000 miles of my life. She'd been dependable, only having a few major issues. By the end of her life, she had nearly 220,000 miles on her. She was amazing," Kyle said of his old friend.
