A healthy diet and exercise are important parts of living well with kidney disease. Your nutrition needs may change with time if your kidney disease progresses. For example, people with kidney failure who are on dialysis will have very different dietary needs than someone with stage 2 or 3 kidney disease. Each person's dietary needs are unique and are based on your stage of kidney disease, your other medical conditions, medications, weight, and overall health.
