Lara Tushla, LCSW

Transplant Advisory Committee Member

In graduate school, Lara was randomly assigned to a nephrology clinic for her internship. After looking up nephrology in the dictionary (long before you could do an internet search), she learned it had something to do with kidneys. That was in 1991 and served as the beginning to a career that took her through outpatient dialysis and into the kidney and pancreas transplant community where she has been since 1998. Lara has been committed to sharing what she has learned with patients and providers through presentations, list serves and articles.
