Part 4 of the series Navigating Transplant, A Guide to Empowering Your Patients, focuses on the psychosocial and mental health dimensions of kidney transplantation. Covering the long span of the transplant experience, our expert presenter will demystify the components of the pre-transplant psychosocial assessment, discuss transitioning pre-transplant care needs to the independence that comes with being a recipient, reinforce the importance of educating and encouraging living donation and offer strategies on ways to talk with patients and care partners about the challenges and emotions integral to the transplant journey.
