Big Ask, Big Give Programs

The National Kidney Foundation, a major voluntary nonprofit health organization, is dedicated to preventing kidney disease, improving the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by kidney disease and increasing the availability of kidneys for transplantation.

The National Kidney Foundation’s signature program, the Big Ask, Big Give is aimed at eliminating the kidney transplant waitlist and helping patients find a living donor. We are pleased to offer two educational workshops for patients—one for those interested in learning more about transplant, and the other for those in need of a living donor.

Challenge your staff

Join the fight against kidney disease with a hands-on, team-building activity to assemble care packages for dialysis patients in the community where you live and work.

Drive for Dialysis

Challenge your staff to join the fight against kidney disease with a hands-on, team-building activity to assemble care packages for dialysis patients in the community where you live and work. Drive for Dialysis is a hands-on, non-skills based corporate volunteer opportunity that allows you to engage your staff/colleagues from the comforts of your office. Employees unite as a team to assemble care packages for delivery to a local dialysis clinic(s), while learning about kidney disease and its risk factors. NKF will provide participating organizations with a standard care package and other tools to make it easy to maximize your impact.

Charles Rice Headshot

Two decades ago, when Charles Rice was in his thirties, he felt invincible. A married hard-working man, he never imagined his life would change dramatically. The magnitude of kidney failure was beyond his imagination.
